During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the intensifying of bilateral relations between BiH and Azerbaijan. Ambassador Hasanov reminded that the Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement will be held in the capital of Azerbaijan Baku on October 25 and 26 this year. He expressed satisfaction with the improved cooperation between the two countries in fields of tourism, investment, culture and education. Hasanov also noted a number of prepared bilateral agreements between BiH and Azerbaijan, which will be signed in the upcoming period.

The
interlocutors discussed the status of investments of Azerbaijani companies in
Doboj and Srebrenica, as well as the possibilities for their expansion to
agriculture, construction and tourism. The need for the realization of a
bilateral visit at the highest level in the coming period was also agreed.

Presidency member stated that Sarajevo and Baku were among the first cities to
sign a cooperation agreement, even during the seventies of the last century. He
praised the cooperation between the two countries in education, including
successful organization of study visits by Bosnian-Herzegovinian students to
Azerbaijan.
