During the meeting, they talked about Bosnia and Herzegovina’s path to the European Union and NATO. BiH Presidency Chairman Dr Haris Silajdžić said BiH had met all the requirements for signing the Stabilization and Association Agreement and did not sign the Agreement and Serbia signed without meeting the requirements, also while ignoring the verdict of the Court of Justice. He underlined that the European Union’s position toward Bosnia and Herzegovina must be changed, because, as he said, it is not just important why BiH had not signed the Agreement together with Serbia, but how does the European Union treat BiH.

Croatian President Stjepan Mesić said BiH should have signed the Stabilization and Association Agreement because, as he said, that would have been a motive for further reform and adoption of European standards in BiH.

During the meeting, they also talked about the joint appearance of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia at the third markets, and said that by doing so, both of the countries would have greater possibilities and potentials. They also talked about bilateral relations, which, as they emphasized, were good, but there are some open issues between them. They said that those open issues, the joint appearance of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia and the third markets and other subjects would be discussed at the Interstate Council’s session that should be held in Sarajevo.
