Member of BiH Presidency Dr Denis Bećirović with the mayor of the City of Cazin, M.Sc. Nermin Ogrešević laid flowers on the central shaheed memorial of the City of Cazin and paid respects to the shaheed and fallen fighters of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Dr Bećirović,
among other things, congratulated all the citizens on the Day of the City of
Cazin and emphasized the importance of commemorating the anniversary of the
liberation of the wartime Bihać district.
"We have
gathered here to remember an important date in the history of Krajina and the
whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Every year on August 6, we celebrate a great
victory, the day when Krajina was unblocked and the state of Bosnia and
Herzegovina was defended. That date really represents the seal of freedom for
which the fighters of the RBiH Army are responsible, among whom the late Izet
Nanić, commander of the 505th Bužim Brigade, has a special place. It is our
duty to remember their heroism and the sacrifice they made," said Dr.
Bećirović.
As part of a
working visit to Cazin, the mayor, M.Sc. Nermin Ogrešević informed Dr Bećirović
on activities on the main projects in the City of Cazin, primarily in the field
of communications and infrastructure, as well as efforts to create a favourable
business environment.
