5/24/2022

The activities of the Association of Generals of Bosnia and Herzegovina were discussed, and special focus included the current issues related to the processing of war crimes.
It was underlined that Bosnia and Herzegovina has adopted the Revised State Strategy for Work on War Crimes Cases, which clearly states that priority must be given to cases from List A, submitted to the BiH judiciary by the International Criminal Tribunal in The Hague.

It was pointed out that the truth about the character of the war as an international conflict wich aimed at dividing Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the participation of neighbouring states was established before the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Tribunal in The Hague, and this is not subject to revisionist interpretation.

It was pointed out that the international courts concluded that the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina was the only legal defense force, and that, unlike other military formations, it did not commit genocide, extermination, persecution and other crimes against humanity nor conducted systemic attacks on civilian population.

It was especially emphasized that there is a worrying tendency to initiate proceedings against high-ranking officers of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina for minor crimes, while at the same time mass and systemic crimes committed in the area controlled by the aggressor forces remain unprocessed.

The Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Džaferović, gave full support to the activities of the Association of Generals of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the fight for truth and justice.

The delegation of the Association of Generals of Bosnia and Herzegovina included General Rizvo Pleh, President of the Association, generals Nedžad Ajnadžić and Ismet Alija, as well as Sadik Klinić, the secretary of the Association.
