BiH Presidency Member Šefik Džaferović received representatives of the Bosniak people from Glamoč, led by Arif Kovačević, president of the Islamic community in Glamoč.
There
was discussion on many issues closely related to the position of the Bosniaks
in this local community.
President
of the Islamic community in Glamoč, Arif Kovačević informed BiH Presidency
Member Džaferović about the undergoing preparations for the opening of Business
and Education Centre, and restoration of Malkoč-bey mosque, a kind of a jewel
of Islamic heritage from the 16th century, as part of the
forthcoming traditional festival “Glamoč Summer.”

Presidency Member Šefik Džaferović gave full support to the efforts of the
Bosniak community in Glamoč, showing a special interest in preservation and
further development of the Bosniak cultural identity. The forthcoming “Glamoč
Summer” will be held under the auspices of BiH Presidency.
Besides
President of the Islamic community in Glamoč Arif Kovačević, the meeting was
attended by President of BZK Preporod, Amel Saltaga, President of MDD Merhamet,
Semir Zeljković and Muhamed ef. Dragolovčanin.
