Chairman Izetbegović congratulated Mirnesa Bektaš, the member of the University Karate Klub “Bosna” Sarajevo, on winning the first place in the European Karate championsnhip for U21 cadets, (+68 kg), held in Sochi, Russia.
The young sportswoman informed Chairman Izetbegović about her
results to date, highlighting that her goal is the placement at the Olympic
Games in Tokyo in 2020.
Dr. Suad Ćupina and the UKK “Bosna” delegation informed Mr
Izetbegović about the successful work of this club and the situation at the
Bosnian-Herzegovinian karate scene, and about the problems faced by sports
clubs and associations.
Izetbegović congratulated the Board and all UKK “Bosna”
competitors for their results to date, and wished Mirnesa Bektaš best of luck
in accomplishing the goal of 2020 Olympic Games placement and representing
Bosnia and Herzegovina in the best of light.
