I extend my most sincere congratulations to the Archbishop of Vrhbosna, Tomo Vukšić, on his instalment as the head of the Vrhbosna Archdiocese.


The Catholic Church in Bosnia and Herzegovina is an indispensable part of the religious mosaic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its role is of irreplaceable importance when it comes to not only religious but also the entire social life.

Having in mind the work of Archbishop Vukšić so far as one of the leaders of the Catholic religious life in Bosnia and Herzegovina, I believe he will continue with his exceptional role in promoting peace, trust and coexistence.

I take this opportunity to thank Cardinal Vinko Puljić for his long service and immeasurable contribution to the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina when it comes to peace and harmony among the peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
